Description

Pindari Glacier is most easily accessible glacier in uttrakhand. Pindari is over 3.2 Kms. In leanth& 1.5 Km. wide. This glacier is within reach of every Himalayn lover. Its situated in Bageshwar District of Uttrakhand between snowcapped Nandadevi&Nandakot mountains.

The PindariKafni trek offers serenity and tranquility along with the spectacular mountain scenery, while the route towards Pindari offers great meadows, gushing waterfalls faraway on the mountain slopes with chance encounters of wild animals and birds in the distance. It lies between the Nanda Devi and Nandakot peaks and terminates at an altitude of 3627 Mtrs. River Pindar originates from this Glacier and flows down to confluence into the river Alaknanda. The trekking route to the glacier traverses along the southern wilderness of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary offering some beautiful views of peaks like PanwaliDwar and Maiktoli.
